Grief & hope

Life is full of grief,
and it is full of hope.

One does not erase the other. In this sanctuary, we allow them to sit side by side.

The universal truths of grief

We are all connected by the universal experience of grief.

It should be respected. Grief means a loss, and loss means change. Before anything else, it helps to hear these truths out loud.

  • It is perfectly normal.
  • It is as personal and unique as your fingerprint.
  • It cannot be fixed or healed.
  • Grief plays by its own rules.
  • There is no timeline.
  • It is messy and untidy.
  • It is the only way back to your loved one.
  • It is the only way back to yourself.
  • It is desperately beautiful.
  • Grief is love.

Your journey

It’s personal, it’s your journey, and it needs to be honored.

So here we are; nobody wants to be here. We have been thrown into a situation of loss or multiple losses, or just plain life burnout, and we know we have to deal somehow. Somehow, or not deal. These are the choices, and perhaps the only ones we have control over at the moment.

Loss and stress affect us on every level: emotionally, physically, and cognitively. It is time to be gentle with yourself.

The philosophy

“You are the expert on your own life & body. I am your witness, and you are my teacher. How can I show up for you?”

My promise to you

A partner and safe place for your tender heart.

To show up as a partner and safe place for your tender heart. To gently remind you of your existing inner wisdom and to help you find your own answers.

When you feel ready, we will help each other build compassion, curiosity, capacity, and connection for ourselves and others. I do not have the ability to fix or promise to transform, but I will be your Wayfinder, reminding you of the things you may have forgotten along the way: that you are resourceful, creative, and whole.

Finding the light

We also hold space for the “and.”

While we acknowledge these heavy truths, we also hold space for the “and.” Life is full of grief, and it is full of hope. One does not erase the other. In this sanctuary, we allow them to sit side by side.

What if I feel “stuck,” or like my grief is too heavy to move through? Please know that there is no right or wrong way to grieve, and you cannot do this work incorrectly. Grief is not a linear checklist to be completed; it is a landscape to be honored. If you feel stuck, frozen, or completely overwhelmed, we meet your body exactly where it is in that moment. We do not force or push anything. Sometimes, “moving the energy” simply means sitting together in quiet, grounded safety until your nervous system feels secure enough to let go of just a tiny fraction of the weight it’s carrying.
